Trophic is looking to hire a highly collaborative and dedicated professional as a Communications and Investor Relations Specialist (m/f/d) to join our team with an eagerness to engage oneself in the biotech industry. We are seeking a person at an entry-level position or with previous communications experience and help them build and expand their skill set while covering a range of exciting projects in our rapidly expanding firm.
WHAT WE’RE

ENTRY LEVEL POSITION
Ph.D. or Masters in a life science discipline with an interest in business and corporate communications within the biotech industry; business or communications background with an interest in life sciences and drug development
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
1-2 years of corporate communications in an agency, journalism, or life science industry experience
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English and German
TEAM PLAYER SELF-MOTIVATED
Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to take initiative and ownership of multiple projects. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. Desire to think creatively at all times and push the boundaries of excellence while helping to build long-lasting relationships.
ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS
Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines under time pressure; flexible and capable of prioritizing workload and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
COMFORTABLE WITH
Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite of applications as well as social media platforms. Design skills in Photoshop and/or Illustrator would be advantageous and/or video editing skills.

Our team engages directly with C-level executives and management teams to deliver value-building messages to external audiences through media and investor relations, scientific communications, corporate positioning, strategic counsel, social media, crisis communications and patient advocacy.
YOUR ROLE IN THE TEAM
The work is client-facing and your role as part of the team will be to combine communication skills with professional integrity to support our clients on their journeys to positively impact people’s lives. The responsibilities include:
✓ Support multiple client accounts, working with senior team members to implement impactful programs
✓ Writing: press releases, company presentations, articles, briefing books, website and social media content, fact sheets, Q&A documents, communicating industry-related financial or scientific information to a wide audience
✓ Research: using databases, media outlets and internet to analyze and collect information and statistics in the biotech industry, conduct competitive landscape research
✓ Investor Relations: develop slide deck presentations and related materials for investor meetings, drafting conference call scripts, investor outreach, support and organize non-deal roadshows, coordinate client investor events
✓ Public Relations: survey industry news and work with the media to pitch client news and developments, creating and implementing social media strategies for clients and our own brand, cultivate ongoing media relationships
✓ Develop project management plans for different tasks and ensure timely delivery of materials across several client accounts
We serve clients with a global view and an interest in raising their visibility across the EU and in the US, therefore we work together to maintain flexibility regarding working hours.
